This thesis encompasses the model of integrated biorefinery, by using a biomass from various sources (marine waters and forests), including the extraction of high-value components already present in the substrates as input being capable of delivering a range of products, either novel or equivalent to existing products, meeting challenges and opportunities for intensive production and sustainability. Concretely, through the multiple studies and achieved results, met the valorisation of an undervalued sustainable fish species by the development of a new dried fish product, using bioactive compounds extracted from maritime pine forestry by-products, and giving to the product not only technological functionality, but eventually biological functionality
