Resumen de El legado americano en la ciudad de Moguer: gestión e inserción en los espacios públicos

La villa de Moguer tuvo notable importancia en los preparativos y la empresa colombina, aportando recursos económicos, materiales, barcos, marineros e influjo político y social. A partir de este acontecimiento histórico, existe una amplia relación entre la localidad y sus gentes con América que se prolongaría a lo largo de los siglos. Dichos lazos dan como resultado el Moguer de hoy, cuya importancia, patrimonio y carácter tiene una amplia correlación con la influencia del continente americano y los sucesos históricos que lo vinculan, generando y sostenido un interesante legado americano sobre el que se asienta esta tesis doctoral. Considerando el trascurso histórico, la creación artística y arquitectónica y el valor cultural, el estudio tiene especial relevancia por analizar y asimilar la gestión del legado desde un punto de vista cultural, patrimonial e, incluso, educativo. Para ello, se definen dos grandes bloques, uno que se centra en la gestión y estado de los bienes culturales, principalmente religiosos, proponiendo .un discurso y modelo afín a las inquietudes de esta tesis. Por otro lado, la importancia y desarrollo de los espacios públicos como lugares de identidad en los que toman especial importancia los azulejos, esculturas y nombres de calles y plazas que se emplazan con el fin de rendir homenaje a personajes y hechos históricos de Moguer y América. Algunos edificios como el monasterio de Santa Clara, el convento de San Francisco o la iglesia parroquial de Santa María fueron fiel reflejo el transito entre ambas orillas del Océano Atlántico. Fe de ello dieron los indianos moguereños que acumularon riquezas en el Nuevo Mundo e invirtieron en engrandecer el patrimonio cultual de las iglesias y cenobios de Moguer. Conocer el vinculo histórico y la presencia de ciertos elementos patrimoniales vinculables es de facto premisa fundamental de este estudio, para enfocar adecuadamente la gestión de los bienes y el discurso colectivo. En cuanto a los espacios públicos, centra el interés la toponimia, azulejos y esculturas que se encuentran en el casco urbano de Moguer, así como la dimensión de algunos de los personajes como Fray Antonio de Olivares, Luis de Torres, Pedro Alonso Niño o Bartolomé Ruiz de Estrada. En ocasiones, la importancia de algunos de estos protagonistas ha trascendido la barrera local, encontrando homenajes y acomodo en otros puntos de la geografía española y americana. Dentro del casco urbano de Moguer, prestamos especial atención al antiguo puerto de Moguer. Durante la Edad Moderna fue un espacio de notable importancia y trasiego. Su análisis histórico y geográfico nos ayuda a comprender la jerarquía del lugar y la necesidad de ponerlo en valor. Previo recorrido por los distintos intentos y propuestas, generar un marco viable de actúación en el muelle es vital para el enfoque de esta tesis doctoral. En definitiva, se trata de un estudio transversal que se sustentas en diversas áreas del conocimiento humanístico que conforman nuestro concepto de patrimonio, tales ejes entendidos como gestión cultural y turística, historia, geografía, arte o antropología, conforman una idea común del legado americano en Moguer y hacia donde debemos enfocar su acción.

The town of Moguer had considerable importance in the preparations and the Columbian enterprise, providing economic resources, materials, ships, sailors and political and social influence. From this historical event, there is a broad relatíonship between the town and its people with America that would continue throughout the centuries. These ties result in todav's Moquer whose importance, heritage and character have a wide correlation with the in influed of American continent and the historical events that link it, generating and sustaining an interesting American legacy on which this doctoral thesis is based. Considering the historical course, the artistic and architectural creation and the cultural value, the study has special relevance for analyzing and assimilating the management of the legacy from a cultural, heritage and even educational point of view. For this, two large blocks are defined, one that focuses on the management and status of cultural assets, mainly religious, proposing a discourse and model related to the concerns of this thesis. On the other hand, the importance and development of public spaces as places of identity in which the tiles, sculptures and names of streets and squares that are located in order to pay homage to characters and historical events of Moguer and America take on special importance. Sorne buildings such as the monastery of Santa Clara, the convent of San Francisco or the parish church of Santa María were a faithful reflection of the transit between both shores of the Atlantic Ocean. Faith of this was given by the Indians of Moguer who accumulated wealth in the New World and invested in enhancing the cultural heritage of the churches and monasteries of Moguer. Knowing the historical link and the presence of certain linkable heritage elements is a de facto fundamental premise of this study, to adequately focus the management 9f assets and collective discourse. As for public spaces, the toponymy, tiles and sculptures found in the urban area of Moguer are of interest, as well as the dimension of sorne of the characters such as Fray Antonio de Olivares, Luis de Torres, Pedro Alonso Niño or Bartolomé Ruiz de Estrada. On occasions, the importance of sorne of these protagonists has transcended the local barrier, finding tributes and accommodation in other parts of the Spanish and American geography. Within the urban area of Moguer, we pay special attention to the old port of Moguer. During the Modern Age it was a space of notable importance and movement. Its historical and geographical analysis helps us to understand the hierarchy of the place and the need to value it. After reviewing the different attempts and proposals, generating a viable framework for action on the wharf is vital for the focus of this doctoral thesis. In short, it is a cross-sectional study that is based on various areas of humanistic knowledge that make up our concept of heritage, such axes understood as cultural and tourist management, history, geography, art or anthropology, make up a common idea of the American legacy in Moguer and where we should focus its action.
