La investigación versa sobre las representaciones del ocio en la vida cotidiana del barrio a partir del estudio de un archivo fotográfico de autor. Por ello, desde el archivo Imágenes de La Ceibita período 1976-1986 de Carlos Germán Rojas, se re-significa la mirada del registro inicial en clave del ocio, permitiendo definir una genealogía de las prácticas explícitas e implícitas del ocio en el mundo de vida popular en el contexto de la ciudad de Caracas, Venezuela. De esta manera, estructurada en cinco (5) ejes de análisis (el barrio, mundo de vida, mundo popular, la memoria compartida y la fotografía) se logra de-construir la propia interpretación de su autor, en una serie de encuentros reflexivos sobre la imagen y también sobre la memoria transferidas a este archivo, es decir, el valor del modelo de análisis logrado resulta de la integración del mismo autor (en vida) sobre su propio registro fotográfico, permitiendo profundizar sobre la cotidianidad caraqueña en el barrio durante el período de 1976-1986.
Así la oportunidad para profundizar sobre la familia, las relaciones de confianza, la amistad. la solidaridad, el reordenamiento de los espacios, la propia autopercepción de los habitantes de un típico barrio caraqueño, son el motivo (objetivo) para re-construir momentos registrados. Y dentro de ese mismo ordenamiento, como quien registra a su propia familia, sin llegar a ser un álbum familiar, este archivo fotográfico oscila entre lo doméstico y lo documental.
La versatilidad de la investigación explora, las posibilidades que la fotografía (abordada desde los archivos fotográficos) y la línea del ocio se encuentran para generar un testimonio sobre la ciudad, el barrio, y también sobre las prácticas del ocio en la cotidianidad.

The research deals with the representations of leisure in everyday life in the neighbourhood based on the study of a photographic archive of the author. Therefore, from the archive Imágenes de La Ceibita period 1976-1986 by Carlos Germán Rojas, the gaze of the initial record is re-signified in terms of leisure, allowing us to define a genealogy of the explicit and implicit practices of leisure in the world of popular life in the context of the city of Caracas, Venezuela. In this way, structured in five (5) axes of analysis (the neighbourhood, the world of life, the popular world, shared memory and photography), the author's own interpretation is deconstructed in a series of reflective encounters on the image and also on the memory transferred to this archive, that is to say, the value of the model of analysis achieved results from the integration of the author himself (in life) on his own photographic record, allowing an in-depth study of everyday life in Caracas in the neighbourhood during the period 1976-1986.
Thus the opportunity to delve into the family, relationships of trust, friendship, solidarity, the reordering of spaces, the self-perception of the inhabitants of a typical Caracas neighbourhood, are the motive (objective) for re-constructing recorded moments. And within this same ordering, like someone who records his own family, without becoming a family album, this photographic archive oscillates between the domestic and the documentary.
The versatility of the research explores the possibilities that photography (approached from the photographic archives) and the line of leisure meet to generate a testimony about the city, the neighbourhood, and also about the practices of leisure in everyday life.
