Resumen de Development of enzyme-functionalized hybrid mesoporous nanodevices for advanced chemical communication

Beatriz de Luis Fernández

  • This PhD Thesis entitled "Development of enzyme-functionalized hybrid mesoporous nanodevices for advanced chemical communication" is focused on the design, synthesis and characterization of several hybrid organic-inorganic nanodevices using mesoporous silica nanoparticles equipped with enzymes and molecular gates which display communication capabilities. In conclusion, it has been showed that the study of such communication capabilities enables the construction of strategies of cooperation between different entities allowing sophisticated functionalities that go beyond those carried out by individual agents. We hope that the obtained results inspire future applications in different areas such as biomedicine, nanorobots, life-like materials and information technologies.
