La tesis doctoral trata de la obra y del pensamiento de Emil Fackenheim, rabino, filósofo y teólogo, formado en Alemania, profesor en la Universidad de Toronto y Jerusalén, y la figura principal de la corriente intelectual conocida como Teología del Holocausto.
El estudio pretende analizar tanto su vida como su filosofía, sus intérpretes, un análisis comparativo de sus afirmaciones con Arthur Allen Cohen y la necesidad de la proyección del estudio de su obra en la filosofía hispana contemporánea.

The present thesis is about the work and thought of Emil Fackenheim, rabbi, philosopher and theologian. He trained as a philosopher in Germany, was a Philosophy professor in the University of Toronto and Jerusalem, and in all probability, the main figure of the so-called Holocaust Theology. This study analyzes his life and philosophy, his interpreters, a comparative analysis of his assertions in relation to Arthur Allen Cohen and the need to project the study of his opus in Contemporary Spanish Philosophy.
