Resumen de La forma de vida de las Escuelas Pías. Historia, textos y teología: "El espíritu que el Señor me ha dado" (epcal 3913)

La respuesta de san José de Calasanz (1557-1648) a las necesidades educativas percibidas en Roma a finales del s. XVI se materializó en las Escuelas Pías. La evolución del proyecto escolapio de vida y de misión desembocó en 1617 en la fundación de la primera institución de vida religiosa dedicada en exclusiva al ministerio educativo, reconocida en 1622 como orden de clérigos regulares con votos solemnes. La propuesta espiritual generada por la experiencia del fundador, expresa en el conjunto de escritos escolapios de los inicios y, especialmente, en el breve fundacional Ad ea per quae, el Proemio de las Constituciones y el Memorial al cardenal Tonti orienta el estudio dedicado a la individualización, descripción y sistematización de los elementos esenciales de la forma de vida de las Escuelas Pías. El análisis de los textos y la propuesta de catalogación de sus contenidos desde categorías teológico-espirituales constituyen la perspectiva de acercamiento a la forma de vida escolapia. La expresión calasancia “El espíritu que el Señor me ha dado”, explícita en la carta 3913 del epistolario del fundador inspira y vertebra la investigación: espíritu que alienta la concreción histórico-institucional de las Escuelas Pías, que se plasma en los documentos fundacionales y que, “recibido del Señor”, encuentra en el lenguaje de la experiencia espiritual el vehículo y las categorías propias y adecuadas para su caracterización.

The response of St Joseph of Calasanz (1557-1648) to the educational needs that he perceived in Rome at the end of the sixteenth century materialized in the creation of the Pious Schools. The evolution of the Piarist project of life and misssion led to the founding in 1617 of the first institution of religious life dedicated exclusively to the educational ministry, recognized in 1622 as an order of regular clerics with solemn vows. The experience of the founder generated a spiritual offer expressed in the set of writings of the beginnings of the Pious Schools and especially in the foundational brief Ad ea per quae, in the Prologue of the Constitutions and the Memorial to Cardinal Tonti, guides this study dedicated to the individualization, description and systematization of the essential elements of the way of life of Pious Schools. The analysis of the texts and the proposal of cataloguing their contents based on theological-spiritual categories constitute the perspective within which the way of life of the Pious Schools is approached. It is Calasanz´s expression “The Spirit that the Lord has given me”, which appears in letter 3913 of the epistolary of the founder, that inspires and gives the backbone of the research: it a spirit that encourages the historical-institutional concreteness of the Pious Schools, is portrayed in the founding documents, and, as "received from the Lord", finds in the language of spiritual experience the carrier and its own suitable categories for it characterization.
