Resumen de Functional and phylogenetic diversity of amphibians in the brazilian atlantic forest: implications for a systematic conservation planning
Biodiversity paterns are results of ecological and evolutionary processes. Understanding the forces shaping biodiversity paterns help to predict the responses og ecosystems to environmental chabge. Considering the role of amphibian species in the functioning of ecosystems, we wxplored how their funcional, phylogenetic and taxonòmic relations can be incorporated into spatial funcional, phylognetic and taxonòmic relations can be incorporated into spatial decision-making in the Brazilian Atlantic Forest. We used these considerations for developing and integrative strategy based on species dispersal paterns, threats and conservation status, susceptibility to climate change, funcional traït evolution and cost-effective conservation. In this line, we organized this thesis in 10 chapters distributed into five sections. We used diferent dimensions of the amphibians ecological niches regarding morphology, life history, and behaviour.
