Resumen de Gravitational and string issues on yang-type monopoles
Yang-type monopoles, which are spherically symmetric topologically nontrivial solutions of Yang-Mills theories with orthogonal gauge groups, are studied from a geometrical point of view. Then, the gravity coupling of Yang-type monopoles is taking and horizon coalescence solutions are analyzed in depth. Finally, a superstring realization of a Yang monopole on Type IIA compactified on K3 surfaces is proposed.
