  • TITULO: FUNDAMENTOS TEOLÓGICOS DE LA ESPIRITUALIDAD SACERDOTAL EN JOSÉ MARÍA GARCÍA LAHIGÜERA RESUMEN: Este trabajo es una aproximación, a través de su obra escrita, a la figura y espiritualidad del ya siervo de Dios, José Maria García Lahiguera, y, ante todo, un análisis detenido de las claves teológicas de su espiritualidad sacerdotal, es decir, un estudio de los rasgos más característicos de su pensamiento sobre el sacerdocio y su fundamentación teológica. En la primera parte se ofrece una detallada relación de la documentación sobre la que se ha trabajado y su análisis correspondiente. Aquí se estudian tanto las obras publicadas y las obras inéditas de carácter personal, como aquellas otras obras inéditas sobre instituciones que él promovió así como los guiones de predicación que se conservan y su intervención en el Concilio Vaticano. En total, sus escritos cubren un arco de tiempo entre los años 1928 y 1984. La segunda parte del trabajo es un desarrollo de las líneas básicas de su espiritualidad. Se trata, en primer lugar, de la argumentación teológica que está en la base del pensamiento de Monseñor García Lahiguera sobre la santidad sacerdotal. La mirada hacia la Encarnación del Verbo, que constituye a Cristo Sacerdote, es el punto de partida de su discurso acerca de la santidad sacerdotal. Santidad sacerdotal que asienta en unos argumentos de gran profundidad teológica, por su razón ontológica y por su razón instrumental. Continúa el estudio con la consideración de Cristo Victima, reflexión que no quería separar de su mirada a Cristo Sacerdote, y el engarce de esta realidad en Jesucristo con el sacerdocio cristiano, al considerar al sacerdote como mediador. Junto a Jesucristo, no puede faltar la contemplación de María, ya que, por su especial vinculación a Cristo, cabe considerarla Madre sacerdotal, por tanto Madre de todos los sacerdotes. Se examina la importancia que da don José María al papel de la Santísima Virgen como mediadora de todas las gracias, y su vinculación y paralelismo con el sacerdocio cristiano. Encarnación y virtudes es un capitulo desarrollado también, puesto que don José María predicaba con frecuencia las virtudes sacerdotales fundamentadas en el hecho capital de la Encarnación. Por último, acaba el presente trabajo con el estudio de los medios de santificación del sacerdote, asunto al que siempre dio una gran importancia y del que se ocupo debidamente en el concilio Vaticano II y en su predicación a los sacerdotes.

    THEOLOGICAL FOUNDATION OF THE PRIESTLY SPIRITUALITY IN JOSÉ MARÍA GARCÍA LAHIGUERA Nicolás Urbano Mesa Facultad de Teología. University of Navarra (Spain), 2005 This work is an approximation to the personality and spirituality of the Servant of God José María García Lahiguera through his writings and above all a thorough examination of the theological keys of his priestly spirituality. The first part presents a detailed account of the documents upon which the work was done and the corresponding analysis of the texts. This analysis includes all the pub-lished and unpublished works, together with other writings of personal character and some other unpublished works that refer to institutions promoted by the Servant of God. The same was done with a collection of notes and drafts of his preaching and of his par-ticipation in the II Vatican Council. Considering all his writings embrace a span of time between 1928 and 1984. The second part expounds on the basic lines of his spirituality. It deals in first place with the theological argumentation at the base of his thought about the sanctity of priests. To look at the Incarnation of the Word, which constitutes the priesthood of Christ, is the point of departure of his discourse about priestly sanctity. José María Garcia Lahiguera settles this concept of the sanctity of priests with a very profound theo-logical reasoning of its ontological reason and the instrumental reason of said priestly sanctity. The study continuas considering Christ as victim, a thought that he did not want to separate from his looking at Christ as priest and the link between this reality in Christ and the Christian priesthood, when considering the priest as mediator. Next to Jesus Christ we cannot fail to contemplate Mary, since due to her special bond with Christ, it is possible to consider her as priestly Mother and therefore Mother of all priests. Here we study the importance that this bishop gives to the role of the Virgin Mary as mediator of all grace and her bond and parallelism with the Christian priesthood. There is a chapter about Incarnation and about virtues, because José María Garcia Lahiguera frequently preached about priestly virtues based on the capital fact of the Incarnation. Lastly, this work ends with the study of the means of sanctification of the priest, a matter that the Servant of God gave always great importance and which he developed during the II Vatican Council and in his preaching to priests
