Análisis multisectorial del nivel de implantación del modelo de gestión lean manufacturing en la industria española

    • The general objective of this research, is to explain the general situation of Spanish manufacturing enterprises, in the level of implementation of lean production, synthesizing, studies in the automotive sector and deepening in sectors studied.

      For this purpose, conducted a descriptive approach based on multiple case study Surveys are conducted to industrial companies of different sizes and different sectors, and the study is complemented by opinions based on the experience of experts in lean implementations, all of them members of the Lean Management Institute of Spain, official member of the Lean Global Network.

      Are raised nine theoretical propositions, all grouped into six research hypotheses, which, to some extent, have deepened in relevant aspects of lean production.

      Finally concluded that, in general, the level of implementation of lean managemen in the Spanish industrial sector is low and uneven, you can't talk about a sector, except in the automotive sector, simply you can talk about companies and in start up phase. There is a great interest in implementing lean management systems in Spanish industry (aside Automotive sector). It is detected that the vast majority of companies say they are applying lean management, really only focused on the implementation of tools in the isolation of waste disposal and generally do not have reconsidered the value from the customer's perspective, however, there is a great satisfaction to all employers who say implement the lean, are launched projects with a strong momentum in the use of methods and tools get results in the short term, but ensuring the sustainability of the project if you are not cultural change a more of the same dimension and / or if management does not believe and trust the read and / or if the project approach, emphasis is placed only in the process, leaving aside the human and organizational aspects. However, also been reported successful pioneer in its sector, which suggest that the Lean Management is possible in Spain
