INTRODUCCIÓN: la Directiva 2010/32/UE permitió que todos los Estados de la Unión Europea, adoptaran sus disposiciones legales en un plazo máximo de 3 años desde su entrada en vigor el 21 de junio de 2010. No obstante, aún no se ha evaluado en España el impacto de la legislación vigente sobre bioseguridad. OBJETIVO: evaluar el impacto de la implementación de la Directiva 2010/32/UE, en los hospitales y centros de salud pertenecientes al Sistema Nacional de Salud Español. MATERIAL Y MÉTODO: se ha realizado una investigación epidemiológica con diseño cualitativo y cuantitativo. Desde el punto de vista cualitativo se utilizó la metodología Delphi y el grupo de discusión, para validar un cuestionario inicial sobre bioseguridad sanitaria. El instrumento resultante se utilizó posteriormente en la fase de estudio cuantitativo, para obtener la información sobre el nivel de implementación de la Directiva 2010/32/UE en los centros sanitarios españoles. RESULTADOS: en los centros sanitarios del Sistema Nacional de Salud español, no se ha realizado la evaluación específica de los de riesgos laborales sobre el conjunto de los enfermeros; los protocolos de trabajo seguro frente al accidente biológico, no están elaborados en todos los centros sanitarios. Las enfermeras no han recibido formación sobre el uso seguro de los dispositivos de bioseguridad. CONCLUSIONES: en los centros sanitarios españoles, no se ha implementado eficazmente la Directiva 2010/32/UE. Ante la gravedad de las desviaciones preventivas detectadas en materia de salud profesional, es prioritario planificar acciones inmediatas al máximo nivel político y jurídico bajo la dirección del Consejo General de Enfermería de España, como Órgano regulador de la profesión enfermera en España.

INTRODUCTION: Directive 2010/32/EU allowed all the members of the European Union, the possibility of incorporating its legal provisions within a maximum period of 3 years from the date of entry into force on 21 June 2010. However, the impact of the current legislation about biosafety devices has not been evaluated in Spain. OBJECTIVE: the overall aim of the thesis is to evaluate the impact of the implementation of the Directive 2010/32/EU, in hospitals and health centers belonging to the Spanish National Health System. MATERIAL AND METHOD: we conducted an epidemiological research with qualitative and quantitative design. From a qualitative point of view, we use the Delphi methodology and the discussion group, to validate an initial questionnaire on biosafety health. The resulting instrument was subsequently used in the quantitative study, to obtain information about the level of implementation of the Directive 2010/32/EU on the Spanish healthcare centers. RESULTS: in the health centers of the Spanish National Health System, the service of prevention has not made a specific assessment of occupational risks on all nurses; safe working protocols against the biological accident, are not prepared in all health centers; nurses have not received training on the safe use of biosafety devices. CONCLUSION: Directive 2010/32/EU has not been implemented effectively in the Spanish healthcare centers. The seriousness of the deviations detected in the field of occupational health and safety, justifies the importance of establishing priority a plan of action at the highest political level and to demand the legal responsibility arising from non-compliance, under the direction of the Spanish General Council of Nursing (Competent Authority of nursing profession in Spain).
