Normas de Estilo de la Publicación

Normas para el envío de artículos
1. Para que los artículos recibidos comiencen el proceso de evaluación en Procesos de
Mercado. Revista Europea de Economía Política, deben cumplir todas las normas de
edición de la revista descritas a continuación. En caso de que no lo hagan serán
devueltos a los autores para la subsanación de errores.
2. Los trabajos presentados para su posible publicación deberán versar sobre cualquier
tema susceptible de ser incluido en el ámbito de estudio de la Escuela Austriaca de
Economía, de acuerdo con los principios manifestados en la línea editorial de la
revista.
3. El contenido de los originales no podrá haber sido publicado o estar sometido a
proceso de publicación en cualquier otra revista nacional o extranjera, ni formar
parte de un libro de autor o colectivo. Todos los originales enviados se someterán a
un proceso de evaluación externa anónimo de doble ciego.
4. El original y dos copias de cada texto se enviarán a Procesos de Mercado: Revista
Europea de Economía Política, c/o Jesús Huerta de Soto, Facultad de Ciencias Jurídicas
y Sociales, Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Campus de Vicálvaro, P.º de los Artilleros,
s/n, 28032 Madrid. O bien a la dirección electrónica huertadesoto@dimasoft.es, o a
través de la propia página web de la revista procesosdemercado.com.
5. La extensión total de los trabajos no deberá exceder normalmente de 30 páginas
(10.000 palabras) mecanografiadas a doble espacio, incluyendo cuadros, gráficos y
referencias bibliográficas. Se agradecerá el envío de la versión definitiva en soporte
informático, preferentemente en formato Word tanto para el texto como para los
gráficos.
6. Cada original incluirá en una primera página independiente, el título del trabajo en
español y en inglés y el nombre del autor o autores, junto con su dirección y teléfono y
su afiliación académica o profesional; un resumen del trabajo de aproximadamente 150
palabras en español y en inglés; una lista de palabras clave (al menos dos y no más de
cinco), así como las referencias correspondientes a la clasificación del Journal of
Economic Literature (JEL), ambas también en ambos idiomas.
7. El contenido del trabajo deberá comenzar en una nueva página. Las diferentes
secciones en las que se estructure el artículo se numerarán de forma correlativa (1, 2,
3…), siendo el punto 1 la sección de introducción. Los apartados incluidos dentro de
cada sección se numerarán con dos o tres dígitos (p.e. 2.3, 2.3.1).
8. El texto y símbolos que se desee aparezcan en cursiva deberán ir en ese tipo de letra
o, en su defecto, subrayados.
9. Los cuadros y gráficos incluidos en el trabajo deberán presentarse en blanco y negro,
irán numerados correlativamente y deberán ser originales, incluyendo además su
título y fuente.
10. Las citas bibliográficas que aparezcan en el texto (ya sea en el cuerpo principal o a
pie de página) deben presentarse indicando el apellido del autor y el año de
publicación (entre paréntesis). Adicionalmente, en las notas a pie de página también
puede incluirse el número de las páginas (pp. xx-yy). Ejemplo: Mises (1940), pp. 479-
482.
11. Las notas irán numeradas correlativamente y voladas sobre el texto, incluyéndose su
contenido a pie de página y a espacio sencillo.
12. La bibliografía utilizada irá al final del artículo bajo el epígrafe REFERENCIAS
BIBLIOGRÁFICAS, ordenadas alfabéticamente por autores y de acuerdo con el
siguiente formato:
ARTÍCULO:
Apellido y nombre (en mayúsculas) del autor o autores, año de publicación (entre
paréntesis y distinguiendo a, b, c, en caso de que el mismo autor tenga más de una obra
citada en el mismo año): «Título del artículo», título de la revista a la que pertenece el
artículo (en cursiva), volumen (Vol.) y/o número (nº) de la revista, y páginas (pp.
xxyy).
Ejemplos:
COASE, R. (1960): «The Problem of Social Cost», The Journal of Law and Economics,
Vol. 3, pp. 1-44.
HUERTA DE SOTO, J. (1980): «La teoría austriaca del ciclo económico», Moneda y

LIBROS:
Apellido y nombre (en mayúsculas) del autor o autores, año de publicación (entre
paréntesis y distinguiendo a, b, c, en caso de que el mismo autor tenga más de una obra
citada en el mismo año): Título del libro (en cursiva), lugar de publicación, editorial.
Adicionalmente se pueden añadir las páginas (pp. xx-yy) en caso de una contribución
incluida en una obra colectiva).
Ejemplos:
HUERTA DE SOTO, J. (1998): Dinero, crédito bancario y ciclos económicos, Madrid,
Unión Editorial [5ª edición, 2011].

13. Cuando se trate de artículos o libros traducidos y se cite de acuerdo con la
traducción, el año que debe seguir al nombre del autor será el de la edición original,
en tanto que el año de la versión traducida figurará en penúltimo lugar, justo
inmediatamente antes de la referencia a las páginas.
14. Los apéndices irán al final del artículo después de las Referencias bibliográficas.
15. La Dirección de la revista, a la vista de los informes de los evaluadores, resolverá
sobre su publicación en un plazo no superior a seis meses desde la recepción del
original. Esta resolución podrá venir condicionada a la introducción de
modificaciones en el texto original.
16. Los autores cuyos trabajos sean definitivamente aceptados recibirán, vía correo
electrónico, un archivo en formato PDF con un juego de pruebas compaginadas en el
que sólo podrán realizar mínimas correcciones de tipo formal (erratas).


Style guide for article submission
1. In order for articles submitted to be considered for publication in Procesos de
Mercado. Revista Europea de Economía Política, they must comply with all of the style
guidelines described below. In the event they do not comply with the style guidelines,
they will be returned to the author or authors for correction of errors.
2. Articles submitted for possible publication must address any of the topics included in
the field of study of the Austrian School of Economics, in accordance with the
principles set forth in the editorial policy of the journal.
3. The content of original articles must not have been published or be in the process of
publication in any other domestic or foreign journal, nor may it have been published in
a book by the author or by a group of authors. All original articles submitted will
undergo an external, anonymous, double-blind evaluation.
4. The original and two copies of each article are to be submitted to Procesos de
Mercado: Revista Europea de Economía Política, c/o Jesús Huerta de Soto, Facultad de
Ciencias Jurídicas y Sociales, Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Campus de Vicálvaro, P.º
de los Artilleros, s/n, 28032 Madrid, or at the following email address: huertadesoto@
dimasoft.es, or through the journal’s web site: procesosdemercado.com.
5. The total length of all articles may not normally exceed 30 double-spaced pages
(10,000 words), including tables, graphs and bibliographic references. Please submit the
final version, both text and graphics, in electronic format, preferably as a Word
document.
6. Each original must include, on a separate cover sheet, the title of the article in
Spanish and English and the name, address, telephone number and academic or
professional affiliation of the author or authors; a summary of the article,
approximately 150 words in length, in Spanish and English; a list of key terms (at least
two and no more than five), as well as the respective references to the classification of
the Journal of Economic Literature (JEL), also in Spanish and English.
7. The content of the article must begin on a new page. The different sections of the
article must be numbered sequentially (1, 2, 3…), point 1 being the introduction. The
subsections included in each section must be numbered with two or three digits
(e.g. 2.3, 2.3.1).
8. Any text and symbols the author wishes to appear in italics must appear in italics or
underlined.
9. Any tables and graphs included in the article must be in black and white, numbered
sequentially, must be original and must include a title and source.
10. Bibliographical references that appear in the text (whether in the body of the text or
in footnotes) must include the last name of the author and the year of publication
(in parenthesis). Footnotes may also include page numbers (pp. xx-yy). Example: Mises
(1940), pp. 479-482.
11. Footnotes must be numbered sequentially in superscript, and the content must be
included at the bottom of the page, single spaced.
12. The bibliography must be included at the end of the article under the section title
BIBLIOGRAPHICAL REFERENCES, in alphabetic order by author, following the
format below:
ARTICLE:
Last and first name (in capital letters) of the author or authors, year of publication (in
parenthesis, specifying a, b, c, in the event the same author has more than one work
cited in the same year): “Title of article,” title of the journal in which the article was
published (in italics), volume (Vol.) and/or number (No.) of the journal, and pages (pp.

collective work).

13. In the case of translated articles or books that are cited in accordance with the
translation, the year that follows the author’s name must be the date of the original
edition, and the year of the translated version is to be included in the penultimate
position, immediately preceding the reference to the page numbers.
14. Appendices shall be included at the end of the article, following the Bibliographical
References.
15. The Management of the journal, after reviewing the reports of the evaluators, shall
make a decision as to publication within a period of no more than six months from
receipt of the original submission. The decision may be conditioned on modifications to
the original text.
16. Authors whose work is definitively accepted will receive a file in PDF format by
email with a set of proof sheets to which only minimal, formal corrections may be made
(erratas).
