Ludus vitalis: revista de filosofía de las ciencias de la vida = journal of philosophy of life sciences = revue de philosophie des sciences de la vie

Ludus Vitalis is a publication devoted to the study of and reflection on the metascientific (ontological, epistemological, methodological, ethical, historical, sociological) problems of such disciplines as biology, medicine, anthropology, linguistics, behavioral sciences and cognitive sciences. Its foremost thematic lines are History and Philosophy of Evolutionist Theories; Epistemology of Life Sciences; Body-Mind relation, Knowledge, Behaviour; Paleoanthropology and Studies on Humankind; Technique and Nature.

The journal has an distinctly philosophical character, analytical and critical by definition. Its editorial policy does not subscribe to any one philosophical posture, but is interested in the debate between different positions and accepts any standpoint as long as it supported with the analytical and argumentative rigor of professional philosophy.

Original articles and essays in Spanish, English and French are published, as well as translations into Spanish of works not easily accessible to Spanish-speaking readers. Book reviews are also included, as well as news on events and on centers for research and documentation in the fields of metascience.

For evaluation and arbitrament of any article submitted for publication, consistency of arguments and coherence as strategies of the discourse will be assessed; priority will be granted to those papers both critical and creative and that, within the boundaries of facts and academical and scientific rigor, are imaginative and suggestive. Two instances of evaluation will be held: one from the journal's Directive Board and next, another from a referee that will remain unknown.

Any changes that the editors propose to the authors will refer to organization of the text, readability, clarity of arguments, preciseness of concepts, and to be in keeping with the standards of syntax, spelling and bibliographical citation used by the journal. Arbitral decisions cannot be appeal.
