    L os procesos de enseñanza - aprendizaje han de incidir directamente en la formación de ciudadanos críticos, reflexivos y comprometidos con su entorno , por consiguiente, la convivencia se constituye en elemento clave para fomentar mejores formas de vivir y de relacionarse con los otros. Asumiendo esta idea, se desarrolla este articulo enmarcado en caracterizar la gestión de la convivencia escolar como elemento fundamental para el fortalecimiento del proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje teniendo como contexto a la educación colombiana .

    Para ello, se asumió los cánones de la investigación documental bibliográfica. Finalmente, se puede enunciar que el proceso de convivencia escolar está determinado por las relaciones que se generan entre los diversos actores que hacen vida en los escenarios educativos; por tanto, su gestión efectiva es una responsabilidad ineludible para garantizar una educación de calidad que contribuya al desarrollo integral de los educandos y al bienestar de la sociedad en su conjunto .

    The teaching - learning processes must have a direct impact on the formation of critical citizens, reflective and committed to their environment, therefore, coexistence is a key element to promote better ways of living and relating with others. Assuming this idea, this article is developed to characterize the management of school coexistence as a fundamental element for the strengthening of the teaching - learning process in the context of Ecuadorian education. For this purpose, the canons of the bibliographic documentary research were assumed. Finally, it can be stated that the process of school coexistence is determined by the relationships that are generated among the various actors that make life in educational s cenarios; therefore, its effective management is an unavoidable responsibility to ensure a quality education that contributes to the integral development of students and the welfare of society as a whole.
