    La Danza de Enanos es, sin lugar a duda, uno de los números singulares y más originales de las fiestas lustrales de la Bajada de la Virgen. El recuerdo del asombro, del disfrute y de la fascinación que ese baile a ritmo de polka despertó en mí, me ha llevado a buscar semejanzas y diferencias con fiestas populares de uno y otro lado del Atlántico en las que hubiese representaciones que pudiesen ser comparables. La conclusión es que sus rasgos armónicos, artísticos, estéticos y organizativos lo convierten en una representación sin parangón, por muchas similitudes que el investigador pretenda sacar a la luz

    The Dance of the Dwarves is, without a doubt, one of the singular and most original numbers of the lustral festivities of the so-called Descent of the Virgin. The memory of the astonishment, the enjoyment and the fascination that this dance to polka rhythm awakened in me, has led me to look for similarities and differences with popular festivities on both sides of the Atlantic in which there were representations that could be comparable. The conclusion is that its harmonic, artistic, aesthetic and organizational features make it an unparalleled performance, no matter how many similarities the researcher tries to bring to light.
