    Dentro de la cultura material palmera, la Virgen de las Nieves es un objeto con agencia además de un dispositivo identitario, capaz de movilizar, a través del patrimonio emocional, las relaciones sociales transculturales. Estas cualidades son las que le permiten incrementar su capacidad para producir significados, sentimientos e identidad. A lo largo de este artículo se relaciona el patrimonio emocional con las políticas del afecto y el poder performativo de los objetos e imágenes que representan a la Virgen de las Nieves dentro y fuera de la isla, describiendo itinerarios heterogéneos, y su papel como mediadora en la construcción de las memorias colectivas. La imagen de la Virgen, como artefacto visual, opera en un contexto de prácticas encarnadas que pueden ser definidas como un compromiso estético-sensorial.

    Within the material culture of La Palma, the Virgin of the Snows is an object with agency as well as an identity device, capable of mobilizing, through emotional heritage, transcultural social relations. These qualities are what allow him to increase her capacity to produce meanings, feelings and identity. Throughout this article, the emotional heritage is related to the politics of affection and the performative power of the objects and images that represent the Virgin of the Snows inside and outside the island, describing heterogeneous itineraries, and her role as mediator in the construction of collective memories. The image of the Virgin, as a visual artifact, operates in a context of embodied practices that can be defined as an aesthetic-sensory commitment.
