    A partir de los años 1930, el partido de la Asociación de Ulemas Musulmanes Argelinos luchó intelectualmente contra el colonialismo de la metrópoli francesa. Después de la muerte del presidente del partido Aḥmad Ban Bādīs el 16 de abril de 1940, Muḥammad al-Bašīr al-Ibrāhīmī continuó esta lucha intelectual en favor de la lengua árabe y religiosa, por la islamización de la sociedad argelina. El texto sobre el que trabajamos fue escrito por la mano al-Bašīr al-Ibrāhīmī en lengua árabe, siendo su último artículo antes de su fallecimiento. En él nos presenta, a modo de breve repaso autobiográfico: su vida académica desde su infancia, formación y estudios, hasta la creación del movimiento islámico de reformismo en Argelia en 1940, así como su historia y participación en el mismo.

    From the 1930s, the party of the association of Algerian Muslim scholars fought intellectually against the colonialism of the French metropole . After the death of the president of the party a president Aḥmad Ban Bādīs in April 16, 1940, Muḥammad El-Bašīr al-Ibrāhīmī continued his intellectual struggle by noting that the Algerian entity had an different identity that the French one. The text presented was written in Arabic by the own hand of al-Bašīr al-Ibrāhīmī. Like a brief autobiography, he presents his academic life from his childhood, formation and studies, to the creation of the Islamist reform movement in Algeria in 1940, and its history as well as his history and work in this movement.
