Resumen
The paper aims to provide a bird-eye view on the complex relationship between globalisation and transnational law. The impact of transnational law on the effects of globalisation cannot be ignored. There is a multifaceted relationship between the two. The effects of globalisation are not always unilaterally from global to local. Based on the entry point taken, the result can have different manifestations and interpretations. Also, transnational law, at best, is the creation of a few powerful organization or private individuals who are in a position to influence and direct the creation of norms. In such a scenario, certain areas of concern cannot be left to the goodwill of the private individual. If such schemes are successful, it is argued that they will usher a new “threat for recolonization” of the “third world”.
