    El artículo aborda las huellas dejadas en el territorio en el entorno fronterizo franco-español del paso de Ibañeta, en el contexto de los conflictos de la Guerra contra la Convención (1793-1795) y la Guerra de Independencia Española (1808-1813). Se presta especial atención a los vestigios en forma de reductos artilleros y líneas de trinchera que jalonan las alturas desde Lindux-Xapelarriko Kaskoa (términos de Erro, Auritz/Burguete y Luzaide/Valcarlos) por el lado occidental, hasta Harrespila (término de Orbaizeta). Mediante el análisis del territorio y la investigación documental se realiza un acercamiento a los acontecimientos en forma de ocupación militar, batallas y escaramuzas que se dan en el contexto de ambas guerras en este estratégico paso de montaña. El estudio se llevó a cabo en el contexto de la realización de una serie de rutas turísticas promovidas por el ayuntamiento de Auritz/Burguete con apoyo de Cederna/Gurelur que puso en valor este patrimonio aunando turismo, paisaje y cultura dentro del proyecto Ruta Wellington.

    The article addresses the traces in the territory left during the context of the conflicts of the War against the Convention (1793-1795) and the Spanish War of Independence (1808-1813) in the Franco-Spanish border trought the pass of Ibañeta pass. Special attention is paid to the vestiges in the form of artillery redoubts and trench lines that mark the heights from Lindux-Xapelarriko Kaskoa (Erro, Auritz/Burguete and Luzaide/Valcarlos districts) on the western side, to Harrespila (Orbaizeta district). Through the analysis of the territory and documentary research, an approach is made to the events in the form of military occupation, battles and skirmishes that occur in the context of both wars in this strategic mountain pass. The study was carried out in the context of a series of tourist routes promoted by the Auritz/Burguete city council with the support of Cederna/Gurelur, which valued this heritage by combining tourism, landscape and culture within the project Ruta Wellington.
