This article aims to analyze the use of images in the Middle Ages in Portugal (XIV-XV centuries) at the funeral art, through the study of the tombs of Queen Isabel of Aragon, Archbishop of Braga Gonçalo Pereira, knight Fernão Gomes Fernão Gois and Sir Teles de Meneses. Such funerary monuments were, par excellence, for the nobles, kings and ecclesiastics, who had to leave scope for carved and printed in a symbolic way their wills, prestige, and domains in their last home

O presente artigo objetiva discutir o uso das imagens na Baixa Idade Média em Portugal (séculos XIV-XV) na arte tumulária através da análise dos jazigos da Rainha D. Isabel de Aragão, do Arcebispo de Braga Gonçalo Pereira, do cavaleiro Fernão Gomes Góis e do fidalgo Fernão Teles de Meneses. Tais monumentos fúnebres destinados, por excelência, aos nobres, reis e eclesiásticos, tinham por escopo deixar esculpidas e impressas de maneira simbólica suas vontades, prestígios, exercícios e domínios em sua última morada
