    This article aims to analyze the interaction between the Legislative - especially the Chamber of Deputies - and the Constitution, focusing on the process of constitutional amendments during the 55th Legislature (2015-2018). By conducting an empirical analysis, which focused on cate-gorizing all of the proposals of constitutional amendment submitted by the deputies, this article aims to identify which areas, themes or principles of the Constitution are most con-stantly subject to proposals for change, since the identifica-tion of these “sensitive areas” can help to better understand the Legislative's relationship with the Brazilian Constitution. As a result, the most relevant “sensitive areas” identified are those related to criminal law, to changes on the Judiciary, to changes to privilege police or military careers, and to changes in the distribution of resources among federal en-tities. After analyzing the data obtained, the article ended with an analysis of the role of the 55th legislature for the rise of the illiberal right after 2014, analyzing possible signs of the so-called “end of the shamed right” in the process of proposals of amendments to the Constitution.

    O presente trabalho tem como principal objetivo analisar a interação do Legislativo - especialmente da Câmara dos Deputados - com a Constituição, com foco no processo de emendas constitucionais durante a 55ª Legislatura (2015-2018). Por meio de uma análise empírica, que buscou categorizar todas as PECs propostas pelos deputados, o presente trabalho teve como objetivo identificar quais são as áreas, temas ou princípios que estão mais constantemente sujeitos a propostas de alteração, uma vez que a identificação dessas “áreas sensíveis” da Constituição pode servir como um parâmetro para melhor compreender a relação do Legislativo com a Carta Magna brasileira. Como resultado, as matérias mais comuns identificadas foram aquelas relacionadas ao direito penal, às alterações do funcionamento e da estrutura do Poder Judiciário, às mudanças para privilegiar carreiras policiais ou militares e às alterações na distribuição de recursos entre os entes federados. Após a análise dos dados obtidos, o artigo foi concluído com uma análise do papel da 55ª legislatura para a ascensão da direita iliberal após 2014, analisando possíveis sinais do chamado “fim da direita envergonhada” nas propostas de emenda à Constituição.
