    This paper intends to analyze the objects that are exposed in the recently inaugurated (in the year of 2018) Historic Museum of Japanese Immigration of Rio de Janeiro. With a collection that was donated by the immigrants and their descendants, the museum, located in the head office of the Nikkei Association of Rio the Janeiro, brings the immigration’s history, as well as the immigrants and their colonies' memories, narrated by the exposed objects. The paper tries to understand what these memories are and which resonates and enchantments, terms used by Greenblatt, these objects bring.

    This paper is a ramification of the research that has been developed in the academic master’s studies.

    : O presente artigo busca analisar os objetos expostos no recém-inaugurado (ano de 2018) Museu Histórico da Imigração Japonesa do Rio de Janeiro. Com um acervo doado por imigrantes japoneses e seus descendentes, o museu, localizado na sede da Associação Nikkei do Rio de Janeiro, traz a história da imigração, assim como as memórias de imigrantes e suas colônias, narradas através dos objetos expostos. O artigo procura apresentar esses objetos e entender que memórias são essas e quais as ressonâncias e encantamentos, termos utilizados por Greenblatt, trazidos por esses objetos. O artigo é uma ramificação da pesquisa que vem sendo desenvolvida no Mestrado Acadêmico.
