    El presente trabajo está inmerso en el contexto de la filosofía contemporánea de la ciencia, en especial de la filosofía semanticista en la que se enmarca la Metateoría Estructuralista. Objetivamente, el trabajo pretende reestablecer el diálogo entre la filosofía general de la ciencia y la filosofía especial desarrollada por científicos preocupados en los fundamentos de su disciplina, en este caso, con los sociólogos. Después de presentar la noción mertonoiana de teoría de alcance intermedio, será presentada la concepción de teoría que ofrece ME y, a partir de dicha concepción, se discutirá un modo de concebir tanto las relaciones interteóricas globales como el cambio interteórico. Finalmente, se realizará el análisis del uso de la noción de teoría de alcance intermedio en la práctica científica, considerando el caso concreto de las investigaciones sociológicas acerca de las organizaciones.

    The present work is immersed in the context of the contemporary philosophy of science, especially of the semanticist philosophy of the structuralist metatheory. Objectively, the work aims to reestablish the dialogue between the general philosophy of science and the special philosophy developed by scientists concerned with the fundamentals of their discipline, in this case, with sociologists. After presenting the Mertonian notion of middle range theory, the conception of theory that offers ME and, from that conception, a way of conceiving both global intertheoretical relations and intertheoretical change will be presented. Finally, the analysis of the use of the notion of middle range theory in scientific practice will be made, analyzing the specific case of sociological research about organizations.
