    El presente artículo tiene como objetivo analizar los discursos, las narrativas y los imaginarios producidos por la prensa boyacense sobre el flujo de personas con necesidad de protección internacional (PNPI) venezolanas hacia Colombia en el periodo 2016-2018. Con este fin, se realizó una revisión de 864 periódicos impresos y digitales del diario Boyacá Sie7e Días, que cuenta con amplia distribución en el departamento de Boyacá. La presente investigación asume que la prensa, gracias a su masiva y permanente distribución, tiene ese particular privilegio de construir discursos que se ramifican rápidamente por el cuerpo social, generan un impacto en la audiencia y crean poderosos imaginarios sociales que influencian la opinión pública, la agenda política y muchas veces las decisiones judiciales. Por tanto, resulta urgente realizar investigaciones sobre la formación de las narrativas y, especialmente, captar los impactos del discurso y de los imaginarios sobre los derechos fundamentales de las PNPI.

    This article aims at analyzing the discourses, narratives, and imaginary produced by the Boyacá press on the migration of Venezuelan People in Need of International Protection (PNIP) to Colombia during 2016-2018. To this end, 864 printed and digital issues of the newspaper Boyacá Sie7e Dias, which is widely distributed in the department of Boyacá, are reviewed. It is assumed that the press is highly privileged to create discourses that branch out rapidly into the social body due to its ongoing massive distribution. This impacts the audience and gives rise to the powerful social imaginary that influences public opinion, the political agenda, and even court decisions.

    Therefore, it is urgent to conduct research into the formation of narratives, especially to capture the effects of narratives and the imaginary on the fundamental rights of PNIP.
