    The Urban Set of Brasília/DF is recognized as world cultural heritage. Within this urban ensemble, we have the region of the Vila Planalto. The research aimed to analyze by means of reports with local residents and on-site observations the possible transformations of the cultural heritage of the region of the Vila Planalto in the present day.

    For that, presented a historical contextualization of the Vila Planalto, as well as identified changes and what were the reasons for these changes in the region. The method adopted was based on a qualitative approach, with descriptive character and bibliographical, documentary techniques, case study and survey through interviews with local residents.

    As a result, it was noticed that there were several changes in the region, whereas the categories of space and geographical analysis from the variables that involve the shape, function, structure and process of the place. Finally, recognize that the region of the Vila Planalto suffer from a process of change in which the buildings are being changed by not receive incentives or adequate oversight.

    O Conjunto Urbanístico de Brasília/DF é reconhecido como patrimônio cultural da humanidade. Dentro desse conjunto urbanístico, tem-se a região da Vila Planalto. A pesquisa teve como objetivo analisar por meio de relatos com residentes locais antigos e observações in loco as possíveis transformações do patrimônio cultural da região da Vila Planalto nos dias atuais. Para isso, apresentou uma contextualização histórica da Vila Planalto, assim como identificou mudanças ocorridas e quais foram às razões dessas mudanças na região. O método adotado baseou-se em uma abordagem qualitativa, com caráter descritivo e técnicas bibliográfica, documental, estudo de caso e levantamento por meio de entrevistas com residentes locais. Como resultado, percebeu-se que ocorreram diversas alterações na região, considerando as categorias da análise espacial e geográfica a partir das variáveis que envolvem a forma, função, estrutura e processo do lugar. Por fim, reconhece que a região da Vila Planalto sofre com um processo de descaracterização na qual as edificações estão sendo alteradas por não receberem incentivos nem fiscalização adequada.
