    El objeto de estudio de este artículo es el análisis de las representaciones sociales sobre la investigación en la Universidad de Antioquia en las tres últimas décadas del siglo XX. En el caso de estudio, estas etapas fueron enunciadas por los profesores, los estudiantes y los administradores de la Universidad, y se muestra cómo la prensa escrita permitió la creación y el mantenimiento de esas representaciones sociales. Se analizan en el tiempo tres momentos: la imitación, la identificación y la innovación, como punto donde confluyeron las representaciones sociales sobre la investigación en la Universidad de Antioquia, durante las décadas de 1970, 1980 y 1990.

    The study object of this paper is the analysis of social representations research coursed at the University Antioquia in the last three decades of the twentieth century. In the case study, these stages were set out by teachers, students and administrators at the University and shows how the press allowed for the creation and maintenance of these social representations. Analyzed in the three time periods: the imitattion, identification and innovation, as places where social  representations converged on research at the University of Antioquia, in the 1970, 1980 and 1990.
