    Nuestro objetivo es explorar acerca del proceso educativo crítico, desde la perspectiva del propio alumnado, en la Universidad para Mayores de La Laguna en el marco del envejecimiento constructivo, identificando los factores que subyacen en este proceso, en concreto el que se refiere al aprendizaje y al envejecimiento constructivo.En este estudio han participado 61 alumnas y 39 alumnos de los tres cursos Programa Universidad para Mayores de la Universidad de La Laguna del curso 2012-2013, de entre 50 y 81 años.Basándonos en un análisis factorial exploratorio realizado en un cuestionario de 72 variables dependientes, encontramos seis factores, tres relativos al envejecimiento constructivo: autopercepción, relaciones con los demás y con el entorno y actitud hacia la vida y el cambio;  y tres describen la educación crítica: las condiciones para el aprendizaje, valoración de la educación y el aprendizaje crítico.

    Purpose:The objective is to explore the critical educational process, from the perspective of the students themselves, at the University for the Elderly in La Laguna within the framework of constructive aging, identifying the factors that underlie this process, specifically the one that refers to the learning and constructive aging.Method:An exploratory factorial analysis was carried out in a questionnaire of 72 dependent variables. In this studyparticipated, 61 female students and 39malestudents between 50 and 81 years old,from three courses of the University Program for Older Persons atthe University of La Laguna,of the 2012-2013 academic year.Result: We found six factors; three of them related to constructive aging: self-perception, relationships with others and with the environment,attitude towards life and change; and othersthree thatdescribe critical education:conditions for learning, assessment of education and critical learning.Conclusions:The main contribution of the meaning of constructive aging is the relevance that critical education takes in it
