    this article aims to understand how Merleau-Ponty conceives the language in the early 50’s. In others words, it aims the analysis of language in a fundamental moment of his philosophical experience: a period between his thesis of 1945 (Phénoménologie de la perception) and his later writings on the philosophy of the flesh. We will see how the philosopher appropriates the reflections of Saussure, interpreting them by a phenomenological point of view, converging a phenomenology of speech with a clearly problem of his philosophy: the intersubjectivity (which arises here as a intercorporeality). The balance of this appropriation, as highlighted, is an outline of the generality of the sense – one of the fundamental themes in Le visible et l'invisible.

    este artigo visa à compreensão de Merleau-Ponty sobre a linguagem no começo da década de 50. Ou seja, visa à análise da linguagem num momento fundamental de sua experiência filosófica: num período entre sua tese de 1945 (Phénoménologie de la perception) e seus últimos escritos sobre a filosofia da carne. Veremos como o filósofo apropria-se das reflexões de Saussure, interpretando-as segundo um olhar fenomenológico, convergindo uma fenomenologia da fala com um problema claramente da sua filosofia: a intersubjetividade (que surge aqui enquanto uma intercorporeidade). O saldo dessa apropriação, como destacaremos, é um esboço da generalidade do sentir – um dos temas fundamentais em Le visible et l’invisible.
