    El artículo se centra en el teatro de Romeo Castellucci, entendido simultáneamente como un proyecto estético y ético que busca confluencias entre vida y arte. En el espacio de 30 años, el intento de superar el ámbito de la representación ha adoptado formas diversas en este teatro. La representación se ha visto desgarrada tanto por la presencia de la corporalidad específica de los actores, de niños o de animales como por la referencia a la memoria y a las fantasías del espectador que, con sus recuerdos, acciona toda la dramaturgia del espectáculo. Si el arte-performance (por el cual el director comenzó también su práctica artística) pretendía unir vida y arte fuera del objeto estético o de la división de la escena y el público, las estrategias teatrales de Castellucci plantean la ficción en el mismo marco de la imagen teatral, creando meticulosamente una ficción mientras desvela su faceta ilusoria

    This essay concentrates on the Romeo Castellucci’s theatre, understood simultaneously as an aesthetic and ethic project that looks for junctions of life and art. Along 30 years, the attempt of transcending the field of the performance has adopted several forms in his theatre. The performance has been torn by the presence of the specific corporeality of actors, children and animals, and by the reference to the memory and fantasies of the spectators which, using their personal memories, activate all the dramaturgy of the show.

    If the Performance Art (through which this director started his artistic practice) intended to link life and art beyond the aesthetic object or the division between scene and audience, the theatrical strategies of Castellucci put the fiction in the same frame of the theatrical image, creating meticulously a fiction that reveals its illusory nature.
