    En este trabajo se aborda la naturaleza jurídica del Registro Civil de Costa Rica y se intenta proveer elementos para la comprender la decisión de los constituyentes, en 1949, acerca de su adscripción en definitiva al Tribunal Supremo de Elecciones (también lo llamaremos TSE) y de cómo, con el devenir del tiempo y en la práctica actual, se ha estrechado la relación e interdependencia entre este organismo y el TSE, para la correcta ejecución de las tareas que se deben cumplir en las diferentes dimensiones donde se desenvuelve la institución

    This work addresses the judicial nature of the Civil Registry of Costa Rica and aims at providing elements for understanding the decision of the constituency, in 1949, in regard to its definite ascription to the Supreme Electoral Tribunal (we will also call it TSE) and how with the passing of time, and as it stands today, the relationship and interdependence between this institution and the TSE has become closer in order to correctly execute the tasks that ought to be undertaken in the different dimensions pertaining to the institution
