Cruzeiros turísticos e acesso a cidades históricas: a reinvenção de Lisboa como porto de entrada e lugar turístico

    Lisbon is a historic city, one of the most demanded coastal tourist destinations in the world. According to the "Euromonitor, the Portuguese Capital, held in 2015 the 62nd place in the ranking of the most visited cities in the world. Its historical areas, cultural heritage, traditions, local population, have contributed significantly to the attractiveness. The entry of tourists residing abroad, that are the customers most numerous in the city, take place mainly by air and land. However, the tourist cruises, with increasing relevance, have privileged Lisbon as port of call, because of the attractiveness of the interest in visiting the city and the natural conditions of the port. The article analyzes the demand of cultural goods by "cruise travelers" on visit to Lisbon. Sought to achieve a comparative analysis between the motivations and practices of "cruise travelers and tourists residing abroad who stay in the city. In the research is carried an interpretative and comparative analysis of the results of the surveys prepared by credible entities. It was confirmed the similarity of the profiles of the universes, the predominance of demand of cultural goods and, in the case of cruise travelers, the predominance of the visit to places of proximity. Priority is given to the visit to some historical sites with riparian zones, whose intensity can ultimately give rise to environmental problems, natural and cultural, affecting the pleasure of sightseeing and the quality of life of the local population.

    Lisboa é uma cidade histórica, costeira, no caso um dos destinos turísticos mais procurados a nível mundial, que ocupava em 2015, segundo o “Euromonitor”, o 62o lugar no ranking das cidades mais visitadas a nível mundial. As sua zonas históricas, património cultural, tradições, população local, têm contribuído de forma significativa para a atratividade. A entrada de turistas residentes no estrangeiro, dominantes no turismo de Lisboa, faz-se, sobretudo, pela via aérea e terrestre. No entanto, os cruzeiros turísticos, com relevância crescente, têm privilegiado Lisboa como Porto de escala, pelo interesse na visita à cidade e pelas condições naturais do Porto. O artigo analisa a procura de bens culturais pelos “cruzeiristas” na visita a Lisboa. Procurou-se concretizar uma análise comparativa entre as motivações e práticas dos “cruzeiristas” e dos turistas residentes no estrangeiro que se hospedam na cidade. Foi realizada uma análise interpretativa e comparativa dos resultados dos inquéritos elaborados por entidades credíveis. Confirmou-se a similitude dos perfis dos universos em análise, a predominância da procura de bens culturais e, no caso dos viajantes de cruzeiros, a predominância da visita a locais de proximidade. Predomina a visita a alguns locais históricos da zona ribeirinha, cuja intensidade pode, a prazo, suscitar problemas ambientais, naturais e culturais, afetando o prazer da visita turística e a qualidade de vida da população local.
