    La recuperació i estudi de les restes antracològiques en jaciments arqueològics és actualment una pràctica estesa entre els equips d’investigació gràcies al potencial d’informació que aquestes ofereixen. Malgrat això, encara trobem molts estudis on l’anàlisi de les restes carbonitzades no és més que un annex al final de la memòria sense cap vinculació aparent amb el plantejament inicial del projecte. Aquí volem fer una introducció teòrica i metodològica a la disciplina partint de la premisa que cal un enfocament multidisciplinar dels projectes d’investigació des d’un bon principi.

    The recovery and analysis of the anthracological remains in archaeological sites is a current practice among the research teams because of the potential information they can provide. However, we still find a lot of studies in which the analysis of the charred remains is nothing more than some pages at the end of the file, apparently, without any relation with the initial project. Here, we want to present a theoretical and methodological introduction to the discipline starting with the premise that it is necessary a multidisciplinary approach from the research teams.
