    La huelga de la leche de diciembre de 1915 en San Sebastián tenemos que enmarcarla en el contexto problemático de la I Guerra Mundial. Desmiente en cierta medida el carácter pasivo del "baserritarra". La originó un Reglamento municipal que incluía una patente. Sin embargo, en sus causas se entrecruzaron factores varios: el protagonismo de los sindicatos agrarios, las "alkartasunas"; los liderazgos individuales de políticos, sindicalistas y lecheros; la brecha entre el campo y la ciudad, etc.

    1915eko abenduan gertatu zen esnearen greba Lehenengo Mundu Gerraren Kontestu problematikoan koka dezakegu. Greba honek neurri batean baserritarraren izaera pasiboa ezeztatzen du. Patente bat zekarren udal Araudi batek sortu zuen. Hala eta guztiz ere, beste arrazoi batzuk gurutzatu ziren: nekazari sindikatuen ("alkartasunene") protagonismoa; politikari, sindikalista eta esne saltzaileen lidergoak; landa eta hiriaren arteko aldea, eta abar.

    The milk strike of December 1915 that took place in San Sebastian should be considered in the problematic context of the First World War. This strike denies in a way the so-called passive attitude of the "baserritarra" (Basque farmer). The strike was originated by a municipal regulation which included a patent. However, there were multiple factors that lead to the mentioned strike: the protagonism of the agrarian syndicates (called the "alkartasunas"); the individual leadership of the politicians, syndicalists and milkmen, the gap between the countryside and the city and so on.
