    Bajo el actual escenario de integración económica global, los Acuerdos de Libre Comercio proliferan, a pesar de los posibles efectos negativos que traerían sobre algunas economías como la colombiana. La ratificación del Tratado de Libre Comercio (TLC) de Colombia con Corea del Sur ha generado gran preocupación en el sector automotriz colombiano por las posibles consecuencias negativas que podría traer.

    Este documento busca aproximarse al Tratado, a fin de dilucidar las posibles consecuencias que este traería sobre los empleos creados por el sector automotriz. Para efectuar este análisis, se aborda el tema desde una metodología exploratoria con un enfoque jurídico–cualitativo, mediante la recolección de información amplia para analizar la cuestión desde una perspectiva histórica descriptiva que engloba antecedentes, establecimiento de parámetros de negociación e intereses de Colombia y la etapa de negociación del Acuerdo de Libre Comercio con Corea.

    Igualmente se presenta el estudio del caso particular de la industria automotriz colombiana, mediante un análisis breve del estado actual de este sector industrial, con el objeto de determinar en el desarrollo de las conclusiones las posibles implicaciones en el ámbito de protección al derecho fundamental al trabajo.

    Under the current scenario of global economic integration, Free Trade Agreements proliferate, despite the possible negative effects that would bring over some economies like Colombia. The ratification of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Colombia and South Korea has generated great concern in the Colombian automotive sector about the possible negative consequences it could bring.

    This document seeks to approximate to the Agreement in order to elucidate the possible consequences that this would bring over the jobs created by the automotive sector. To effectuate this analysis, the issue is approached from an exploratory methodology with legal-qualitative focusing, by collecting broad information to analyze the issue from a historical descriptive perspective that includes background, setting of negotiation parameters and interests of Colombia and the negotiation phase of the Free Trade Agreement with Korea.

    Similarly the study of the particular case of the Colombian automotive industry is presented through a brief analysis of the current state of the industry sector, in order to determine within the development of the conclusions the possible implications in the field of protection of the fundamental right to work.
