    Las diferentes manifestaciones de la justicia transicional están dadas por la relación existente entre esta y el poder de los actores enfrentados en períodos de tránsito de la guerra a la paz o de la dictadura a la democracia. Estas relaciones de poder determinan que la justicia transicional se constituya en un instrumento del poder, un reflejo del poder o un límite al poder. ¿Cuáles han sido las relaciones existentes entre justicia transicional y poder desde el Tribunal de Núremberg hasta la Corte Penal Internacional?, es la pregunta de la que se ocupa este artículo. Como respuesta a dicha inquietud se encuentra que debido a los requerimientos del Derecho Internacional de los Derechos Humanos y el Derecho Penal Internacional, la justicia transicional ha ido evolucionando: de ser un instrumento del poder se ha convertido en un límite del mismo y una herramienta para la construcción de una paz sostenible.

    The different manifestations of transitional justice are given by the relationship between it and the power of actors confronted in transition periods from war to peace, or from dictatorship to democracy. These power relations determine whether transitional justice constitutes an instrument of power, a reflection of power or a limit to power. Which have been the relations between transitional justice and power since the Nuremberg Tribunal to the International Criminal Court?, is the question that this article addresses. In response to this concern, it was found that due to the requirements of International Human Rights Law and International Criminal Law, transitional justice has evolved from being an instrument of power to becoming a limit of it and a tool for building sustainable peace
