    This article provides reflections about human rights violations in the twentieth century. After a brief historic, it is analyzed the appearance and awareness of these rights now days, even though they continue to be neglected and affronted. Remembering that humanity has watched a long duty enforcement only giving space to the rights in the last two centuries. The disregard of the human rights in capitalistic and communist regimes is studied, as well as the insertion of these rights in to the different legislation of the States.

    Este estudo traz reflexões sobre as violações dos direitos humanos no século XX. Após breve histórico, analisa-se o surgimento e a conscientização desses direitos na atualidade, embora eles continuem sendo negligenciados e afrontados. Recorda-se que a humanidade assistiu a uma longa imposição de deveres, passando os direitos a ganhar espaço apenas nos dois últimos séculos. O desprezo aos direitos humanos nos regimes marcadamente capitalistas e comunistas é estudado, bem como a inserção desses direitos nas legislações de diferentes Estados.
