    En el presente trabajo busco establecer el origen del Derecho a la Verdad en Iberoamérica, para posteriormente describir las sentencias que ha emitido la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos sobre este importante derecho y su recepción en los principios contenidos en la Convención Americana sobre Derechos Humanos, así como los alcances que se le viene dando; trabajo que finaliza con un breve análisis de la recepción que han tenido las sentencias de la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos en los Tribunales y Cortes Constitucionales Iberoamericanas.

    This paper persued to establish the origin of the Right to the Truth in Latin America, after this, it describes the statements issued by the American Court of Human Rights on this important right and its reception by the principles contained in the American Convention on Human Rights and as the scope that comes giving; this work concludes with a brief discussion of the reception they have had the judgments of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights in the Latinamerican Courts.
