    Desde o final da Segunda Guerra Mundial, houve tentativas importantes de avançar na compreensão da relação entre sistema jurídico e promoção do desenvolvimento. Este artigo se dedica a revisar as diversas teorias que, ao longo da história, buscaram compreender as relações entre ordem jurídica e processo de desenvolvimento. Estas teorias, entretanto, esgotaram-se diante da falta de uma teoria de base, que pudesse explicitar de forma coerente as diversas matizes desta complexa relação.

    Since the end of the Second World War, there were several important attempts in order to succeed on understanding the relation between legal system and on development promotion.  This paper focus on reviewing several theories that, through the history, looked for understanding the relations between jurisprudence and development process.  These theories, however, went down due to the lack of a basic theory, that could make clear and coherently diverse shades of this complex relation.
