    En el presente trabajo se analiza la trayectoria del Supremo Tribunal Federal en momentos de su instalación republicana en Brasil. Observamos los cambios constitucionales, políticos y jurisprudenciales sobresalientes de esta etapa inicial. Además, examinaremos la elite judicial de este periodo. Finalizaremos con breves comentarios finales. En definitiva, analizaremos el desarrollo institucional del Alto Tribunal en los inicios de la Republica Brasilera: 1891-1898.

    In this paper we will analyze the trajectory of the Federal Supreme Court in its Republican establishment in Brazil. We will observe the constitutional, political and jurisprudential changes in this period. In addition, we will examine the legal elite of this phase, finishing with brief concluding remarks. In short, we will analyze the institutional development of the High Court at the beginning of the Brazilian Republic: 1891-1898.
