    On examine dans ce travail le développement complexe et varié du constitutionnalisme espagnol (ses textes, ses institutions et ses doctrines) dans le but de le situer dans son contexte comparé, plus particulièrement européen. Entre autres questions sont étudiées ici l'influence décisive de la France révolutionnaire sur la Constitution de Bayonne et celle de Cadix, la réception du constitutionnalisme anglais et français postnapoléonien pendant le Triennat Libéral et les exils sous l'absolutisme fernandin, l'influence de la Grande-Bretagne et, dans une moindre mesure, de la Belgique et des Etats-Unis dans l'Espagne constitutionnelle de 1834 à 1923, l'empreinte du constitutionnalisme de l'entre-deux-guerres pendant la II République et, enfin, les sources européennes, surtout allemandes et italiennes, de la Constitution de 1978 actuellement en vigueur. On aborde également la projection internationale de la Constitution de Cadix et, quoique qu'elle fût bien moins importante, de celle de 1931.

    In this essay the complex and varied development of Spanish Constitutionalism is examined (its texts, institutions and doctrines) with the aim to place it in its compared context, mainly the European. Among other considerations the decisive influence of revolutionary France in the Bayonne constitution and in that of Cadiz, the welcoming of English and Post-Napoleonic French Constitutionalism during the Liberal Triennium and the exiles that existed under the absolutism of Fernando VII, the influence of Great Britain and to a lesser extent Belgium and the U.S.A. in Constitutional Spain from 1834 to 1923, the interwar traces of constitutionalism during the Second Republic and finally the European sources, especially German and Italian of the current constitution of 1978 are studied. The international impact of the Cadiz constitution should not be overlooked nor that of the 1931 Constitution.
