La fricatización de /c/ en una comunidad de hablantes granadina

    En este trabajo ofrecemos un análisis sociolingüístico del fenómeno de fricación de /??/ por su complejidad estructural y social. La tendencia a eliminar la palatal del sistema fonológico español es un rasgo extremo aunque minoritario entre las realizaciones de los hablantes. No obstante, los estudios sociolingüísticos demuestran que la lenición de /??/ es un fenómeno (casi) exclusivo de hombres con escaso grado de instrucción. Usando los datos procedentes de una muestra de hablantes de Pinos Puente que actualmente residen en Granada, se comprueba que las variables que determinan la aparición de la fricativa son: la edad, el sexo y la educación. En definitiva, el perfil del granadino inmigrado que fricatiza es el de un hombre de cualquier generación perteneciente a los estamentos sociales más bajos.

    In this work, we offer a sociolinguistic analysis of the fricative phenomenon of /??/ due to its structural and social complexity. The tendency to remove the palatal of the Spanish phonological system is an extreme feature although it is minoritary among the speaker's realizations. However, sociolinguistic studies demonstrate that the weakening of /??/ is an (almost) exclusive phenomenon of men with a low degree of education. By using data from a sample of speakers from Pinos Puente living in Granada, it is possible to show that the variables that determine the appearance of the fricative are the following: age, sex and education. Definitively, the profile of the immigrants in Granada who use the fricative is that of a man of no matter what generation belonging to the lowest social classes.
