  El 23 de junio de 2023 se celebró en la Facultad de Derecho de Harvard (Cambridge, Massachusetts) un seminario organizado por el Grupo de Estudio RCC ¨Estudios sobre la Vida y la Dignidad Humana¨. El seminario ?Dignidad Humana, Justicia Social y Derechos Humanos? reunió a profesores de renombre de diferentes campos científicos de prestigiosas universidades europeas y americanas. El objetivo del encuentro fue analizar y estudiar el concepto de dignidad humana en la vida y al final de la vida, y algunas de sus manifestaciones y amenazas potenciales en el mundo actual.

  En las últimas décadas se ha producido en la sociedad un desarrollo espectacular en los diversos campos de la ciencia, la economía, el comercio y las comunicaciones. Estos avances en el progreso humano, por loables que sean, a menudo no se corresponden efectivamente con el reconocimiento paralelo de la dignidad humana de cada hombre y mujer. De hecho, en muchos casos, este progreso da lugar a una serie de contradicciones y posibles peligros y desafíos.

  Este libro reúne una selección de trabajos presentados en ese seminario, sobre el gran tema de la dignidad humana y el derecho.

  On June 23th 2023 a seminar was organized by RCC Study Group Studies on Life and Human Dignity at Harvard Law School (Cambridge, Massachusetts). The seminar Human Dignity, Social Justice and Human Rights was to gather well-renowned professors from different fields of science from prestigious European and American universities. The aim of the encounter was to analyze and study the concept of human dignity in life and at the end of life, and some of its manifestations and potential threats in todays world.

  In the last decades, a spectacular development in the diverse fi elds of science, economy, trade and communications has taken place in society. These advances in human progress, as laudable as they may be, often do not eff ectively correspond to parallel recognition of every man and womans human dignity. In fact, in many cases, this progress results in a series of contradictions and possible dangers and challenges.

  This book brings together a selection of papers presented at that seminar, regarding the big issue of human dignity and law.
