  Las Fuerzas Militares han sido un actor central en el conflicto armado colombiano. Estas han tenido la responsabilidad de recuperar la soberanía estatal, defender la integridad del territorio nacional y garantizar el orden constitucional, no frente a un enemigo externo, sino ante grandes estructuras armadas ilegales que actúan dentro del país. De cara a los procesos de superación del conflicto armado interno con el principal de los actores armados irregulares, la institución militar tiene un importante papel en la construcción y consolidación de la paz. Entendiendo que este proceso no solo se refiere a la firma de un acuerdo entre las partes beligerantes, sino, sobre todo, a la reparación de las víctimas. Como forma para conocer el pasado, el reconocimiento de los miembros de las Fuerzas Militares como víctimas del conflicto armado interno es una dimensión que merece ser analizada. Resulta importante que los militares narren también sus vivencias en medio del conflicto armado, no como combatientes, sino como seres humanos. Un reconocimiento que va más allá de una consideración jurídica e implica abordar asimismo miradas sociológicas e históricas que permita conocer los hechos de violencia y los daños causados a los miembros de las FF. MM. y a sus familias. Desde una perspectiva metodológica, el documento presenta una serie de entrevistas individuales con el ánimo de conocer los hechos victimizantes que más han afectado a los militares y sus familias en el contexto del conflicto interno armado. El objetivo es entender y reconocer a los miembros de las FF. MM. como personas que han sido afectadas en sus derechos fundamentales y, en tal sentido, merecen ser también reconocidas como víctimas de la violencia en Colombia.

  The military forces have played a central role in the Colombian armed conflict. They have had the responsibility of recovering state sovereignty, defending the integrity of the national territory, and guaranteeing constitutional order, not against an external enemy, but against large illegal armed groups that operate within the country. With regard to overcoming the internal armed conflict with the main irregular armed actor, the military institution has an important role in the construction and consolidation of peace. It is crucial to understand that this process not only involves the signing of an agreement between the warring parties, but above all the reparation of victims. As a way to learn about the past, the recognition of the members of the armed forces as victims of the internal armed conflict is an aspect that deserves to be analyzed. It is important that solders also narrate their experiences in the midst of the armed conflict, not as combatants, but as human beings. It is a recognition that goes beyond legal consideration and involves addressing sociological and historical perspectives that allow learning about the facts of violence and the harm caused to the members of the Armed Forcesand their families. From a methodological perspective, thestudy presents a series of individual interviews, aiming to recollect facts of victimization that have most affected soldiers and their families in the context of the internal armed conflict. The objective is to understand and recognize the members of the Armed Forces as people who have been affected in their fundamental rights, and who, in that sense, deserve to be recognized as victims of the violence in Colombia.
