Resumen

• The use of voilà in French is rapidly increasing. Taking an interdisciplinary approach to this phenomenon, the authors point out explanatory factors that lead them to a functional hypothesis: by gathering scattered pieces of information and turning them into a perceptible ensemble, voilà enhances cognitive grouping.
