• The 21st World Congress of Philosophy was held in Istanbul in 2003. It was sponsored by the Philosophical Society of Turkey, in cooperation with the International Federation of Philosophical Societies. The theme of the conference was "Philosophy Facing World Problems". The Proceedings of the Twenty-First World Congress of Philosophy contain hundreds of invited and selected papers in thirteen edited volumes.
