  El De emendata structura latini sermonis de Tomás Linacer significa un punto de enlace entre el humanismo formalista de Valla y Nebrija y el racionalista del Brocense y de Escalígero; por ello, esta obra resulta fundamental para profundizar en la evolución entre ambas corrientes y en lo que posteriormente se convertirán, como son la escuela de Lancelot en Port-Royal y los lingüistas y gramáticos ilustrados del siglo XVIII. La presente edición cuenta con una presentación de manos del profesor Eustaquio Sánchez Salor, quien resume en pocos párrafos la evolución del humanismo lingüístico desde el siglo XV hasta finales del XVI, seguida de una introducción sobre la vida de Linacer y el ambiente didáctico-lingüístico del Renacimiento inglés en el que se formó y un examen detallado del manual, que se divide en los cinco libros que lo componen. A continuación, encontraremos una completa bibliografía acerca del tema y el texto de Linacer en latín y castellano, con un detallado aparato crítico que va detallando los autores y las obras clásicas que Linacer introduce en forma de ejemplos, además de aclaraciones y correcciones que completan el manual del gramático inglés.

  Tomás Linacer's De emendata structura latini sermonis is a link between the formalist humanism of Valla and Nebrija and the rationalist humanism of Brocense and Escaliger; Therefore, this work is essential to delve into the evolution between both currents and what they would later become, such as the Lancelot school in Port-Royal and the enlightened linguists and grammarians of the 18th century. This edition features a presentation by Professor Eustaquio Sánchez Salor, who summarizes in a few paragraphs the evolution of linguistic humanism from the 15th century to the end of the 16th, followed by an introduction on Linacer's life and the didactic-linguistic environment of the English Renaissance in which he was trained and a detailed examination of the manual, which is divided into the five books that compose it. Below, we will find a complete bibliography about the topic and Linacer's text in Latin and Spanish, with a detailed critical apparatus that details the authors and the classic works that Linacer introduces in the form of examples, in addition to clarifications and corrections that complete the English grammarian's handbook.
