It is our pleasure to welcome you to the 8th International Conference on Mechanical Models in Structural Engineering (CMMoST 2025), which will take place at the Escuela de Ingenierías Industrial, Informática y Aeroespacial of the University of León, from 26 to 28 November 2025, in León (Spain). CMMoST 2025 is a scientific event organized by the University of León, in collaboration with the University of Granada, the University of Seville, and the University of Málaga. Previous successful editions of this biennial conference have been held in Granada (2011 and 2013), Seville (2015), Madrid (2017), Alicante (2019), Valladolid (2021) and Málaga (2023). The CMMoST conference series offers an outstanding forum for researchers and professionals to present their research projects and findings, as well as to exchange experiences in the field of Structural Engineering. Topics addressed in the conference range from innovative applications and advanced solution techniques, to the development of new mathematical approaches, analysis of structural materials, and educational challenges in engineering curricula. This volume comprises the extended abstracts accepted for oral presentation at CMMoST 2025, following a peer-review process. The scientific program will include contributions from authors affiliated with academic and research institutions from Spain and abroad. A key objective of this conference is to promote the work of early-career researchers, particularly pre-doctoral candidates, and to encourage educational innovation in the field; to this end, two awards have been established: one for the best contribution presented by a pre-doctoral author and another for outstanding work in educational innovation within the scope of structural engineering. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to all authors, plenary speakers, reviewers, and sponsors for their valuable contributions and support. We trust that CMMoST 2025 will provide an enriching scientific experience and that your stay in León will be both pleasant and inspiring.
