Latinoamérica es un lenguaje sintiente, vivo, con el cual el planeta se reinventa. Latinoamérica suena al agua que pasa por los ríos, a las aves que buscan anidar y pervivir en medio de la naturaleza. Latinoamérica es un continente que vibra desde sus profundidades, desde sus bosques, sus praderas y desiertos. La (bio)diversidad de nuestro continente hace que las apuestas formativas y pedagógicas sean marcos referenciales para volver a sentir nuestro entorno. Latinoamérica huele al café de la mañana, pero también al sabor amargo que nos han dejado los conflictos armados territoriales. Para muchos, Latinoamérica es el lugar donde nace el pensamiento crítico, donde las voces se levantan para buscar justicia, verdad, reparación, al mismo tiempo que se indaga por la reconciliación, la resiliencia y el perdón. Ruralidades latinoamericanas contemporáneas es una obra que invita a repensarse una Latinoamérica que le enseña al mundo occidental otra forma de reexistir.

Latin America is a living, sentient language through which the planet reinvents itself. Latin America evokes the sound of water flowing through rivers, as well as the birds that seek to nest and survive in the middle of nature. Latin America is a continent that vibrates from its depths, from its forests, prairies, and deserts. The (bio)diversity of our continent transforms the formative and pedagogical proposals into referential frameworks that help us reconnect with our environment. Latin America smells of morning coffee but also of the bitter taste left by armed territorial conflicts. For many, Latin America is the place where critical thinking is born, where voices are raised to seek justice, truth, and reparation while simultaneously exploring reconciliation, resilience, and forgiveness. Contemporary Latin American Ruralities is a work that invites us to reimagine a Latin America that teaches the Western world another way of re-existing.
