    ¿Realmente sigue teniendo sentido la urbanística, ante tanta novedosa sucesión de imágenes que parecen contradecir el delicado equilibrio de nuestro mundo conocido? Las transformaciones de la ciudad, los sucesivos episodios de decadencia y resurgimiento, cumplen determinados ritos históricos. Se hace aconsejable, también ante los nuevos retos, releer a aquellos pensadores de lo urbano, romántico-creativos, que sentían la ciudad como algo suyo, y contrastar sin obviar la crítica, la validez de su discurso interrumpido.

    Hirigintzak ba ote du zentzurik ezagutzen dugun munduaren oreka ahularen aurkakoak diruditen hainbat irudi berriren aurrean? Hiriaren eraldaketak, gainbeheraldi eta birloraldiak errito historiko jakin batzuen araberakoak dira.     Does town-planning really continue to make sense in the face of such a novel succession of images that appear to contradict the delicate balance of the world we know? The transformations of the city, the successive episodes of decadence and resurgence, fulfil certain historical rites. It becomes advisable, when facing the new challenges as well, to reread those thinkers on the urban question, creative romantics, who felt the city as their own, and assess, without neglecting criticism, the validity of their interrupted discourse.
