    La comunicación parte del protagonismo emblemático que posee el Athletic Club como institución deportiva y sujeto colectivo en la vida de Bilbao. El enfoque atiende a los anhelos de la ciudadanía tanto respecto a lo futbolístico y deportivo como a lo social, económico, estético y cultural. Las historias centenarias de la ciudad y del Club representan una simbiosis casi perfecta en la construcción simbólica de nuestro imaginario colectivo. El Athletic sin Bilbao sería una quimera, un imposible, y Bilbao sin el Athletic sería menos Bilbao.

    The talk starts out from the emblematic and leading position held by the Athletic Club as a sporting institution and collective subject in the life of Bilbao. It focuses on the desires of the citizens both with respect to footballing and sporting aspects, and to social, economic, aesthetic and cultural aspects. The centenarian histories of the city and the Club represent an almost perfect symbiosis in the symbolic construction of our collective imaginary. The Athletic Club without Bilbao would be a chimera, something impossible, and Bilbao without the Athletic Club would be less than Bilbao.

    Komunikazio hau Athleticek, Bilboko bizitzan, kirol kluba eta subjektu kolektiboa den aldetik eta ikurra izanik, duen protagonismotik abiatzen da. Hala futbol eta kirol mailan, nola gizarte, ekonomia, estetika eta kultura mailan herritarrek duten nahia aztertzen da. Hiriaren mendeetako historiak eta mendea bete berri duen klubarenak herritargoaren irudizko munduaren sinbologia egiteko sinbiosi ia ezin hobea osatzen dute.
